WINE TASTING AT
TA’ BETTA WINE ESTATES
Malta’s climate and terroir produce some great wines that are worth tasting and savouring. However, the Rosselli Experience Team will introduce you to one of the very few boutique wineries on the Island that is not usually open to the public and where its bottled wine cannot be easily found on the shelves. Four hectares of terraced vineyards in the southern region of Malta are home to 15,000 vines planted on site. The private estate also holds 200 olive trees, fig and carob trees and other indigenous Maltese flora.
Upon arrival, you will be transported into old world charm through a private guided tour of the winery. Wine lovers will enjoy hearing all about the vine growing process, the autumn harvest and the production of the final product until bottling.
The tour will be followed by a wine tasting. The wine is paired with cheeses and cold cuts, as well as warm bread and olive oil that is also produced on the estate.

COOKING CLASS WITH MALTESE CHEF AND WRITER, PIPPA MATTEI
Your driver will stop you in the village of Attard so that you can stroll through San Anton Gardens. Built by Grand Master Antoine de Paule, San Anton Palace is today the residence of the President of Malta. Discover fountains, ponds with families of ducks as well as trees from all over the world, some of which are over three centuries old. Your walk will end at Pippa’s residence.
Pippa is a chef, food writer and teacher. For 35 years, her kitchen has been a place where she has shared many a meal with friends and with those passionate about food and learning about it. Pippa will accompany you to the local farmers’ market in Ta’ Qali. Enjoy chatting with the farmers who will gladly explain how they grow their fruit and vegetables and recommend the perfect produce for your meal.
Pippa and her husband John will help you prepare a typical Mediterranean lunch with the local produce sourced from the market and using seasonal ingredients. Cooking with Pippa is a delight and her extensive experience and her passion for cuisine is infectious. Your efforts in the kitchen will pay off when you take your seat at Pippa’s table set in her lovely Mediterranean garden. If the weather decides otherwise, her dining room or state-of-the-art kitchen overlooking the garden will serve beautifully too. Your meal will be accompanied with the best Maltese wine from the nearby wine estate, finished off with coffee and Pippa’s homemade mandarin or lemon liquor.
