Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Under Grain was silenced a few months after its opening, and a few days after its MICHELIN star award. However, the Under Grain team did not let this sudden closure stop them from working hard. The team worked tirelessly to come up with new ways to satisfy their customers with the MICHELIN star experience that they deserve. 

 

As soon as the Maltese government announced that restaurants could re-open, Under Grain opened with a bang. Following the new safety restrictions, Under Grain moved its refined experience under the stars. Given that the setting is outdoors, this provides more safety and security for customers dining at Under Grain. 

 

Dining under the stars means that customers can revel in our unique dishes while admiring the city views. Our menu is concise but is assured to be of the highest quality and curation. This refined MICHELIN experience extends itself to the service provided to our customers. 

 

Under Grain is a living proof that a classical dinner can still be possible in this day and age.
